Adolescence marks a formative period often
rife with challenges around at-risk behaviors.
Dr. Laurence Steinberg has reframed the
narrative surrounding adolescence, describing
it as an age of opportunity. This presentation
will discuss impactful engagement and
evidence-based practices for adolescent
substance use disorder treatment. The goal
is to learn more about the challenges and
opportunities associated with serving this
population, and explore how adolescents may
feel empowered during this transition through
the development of psychological flexibility
and knowledge.
