Co-Occurring Disorders: Recognizing, Diagnosing, and Treatment

This session will take an in-depth look at defining and diagnosing co-occurring disorders. Through discussing the diagnostic criteria paired with symptoms commonly seen in both residential and outpatient treatment settings, participants will be able to leave and more efficiently diagnose co-occurring disorders. Multiple evidenced based assessments, available in the public domain, will be reviewed and discussed to help with this diagnostic process to help identify co-occurring disorders earlier in the treatment process. Lastly, we will discuss evidenced based treatment models for co-occurring disorders along with how to access trainings for these treatment models.
