Join two of Mississippi’s most informed presenters discussing Human Trafficking. January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention month. Join us to learn about human trafficking. This course will cover Sex Trafficking 101 and Labor Trafficking. Special topics in trafficking that will be covered include the LGBTQ population and trafficking, trauma-informed care and barriers to care. Mandated reporting, which is always a hot topic for social services workers, will also be discussed. Mississippi Resources will be provided for youth, adult, male, and female, and LGBTQ= as well as information on the Mississippi Human Trafficking Council.
Objectives:

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

1. Increase knowledge about sex and labor trafficking.

2. Learning how to identify potential trafficking victims.

Learn how to respond to potential trafficking victims.
