Register

In this workshop, the participant will be introduced to tobacco products and their uses. The prevalence of the use and health impact will also be discussed. Tobacco dependence and treatment will be explained in order to educate providers regarding the management of tobacco use and dependence.

Objectives:
After completing this course, participants will:
• Name 3 of the various tobacco products and usage patterns.
• Understand and discuss the health, economic and other impacts of tobacco use.
• Understand and discuss the overall treatment program structure.
• Understand and discuss the primary behavioral and cognitive intervention strategies.
