Objectives:
By the end of this presentation, the participant will be able to:

1. Identify the goals and objectives of advocacy including the facilitation of change and aid in the development of new policy in order to tackle unmet or emerging needs.
2. Introduced to tools that will aid in the development of a plan for advocacy including understanding the issue, recognizing allies, identifying opponents and developing a viable plan for action.
3. Share ideas on how to work with an organization to improve policies for a profession and the people.
