The Onsite Security Workshop

Mental Health Professionals go into stressful situations on a daily basis. Sometimes these situations are in the school, in  a client’s home, shopping with a client, doctor’s appointments with a client. Safety should be the first concern. This course will teach how to respond to various situations. The On Site Security Workshop is a 3 hour course is designed to help ensure a safer workplace. Students are taught to recognize threats and act accordingly. They are taught how to better plan for potentially dangerous situations whether at home, at work or elsewhere.  

Students will learn:

            How to respond during an active shooter event.

            How to verbally de-escalate a potentially violent situation.

            How to recognize a potentially violent situation.

            How to prepare for and avoid potential violence.
